When fifteen-year-old Noreen Mackey discovered the writings of St John of the Cross her life seemed set on a Carmelite path. In this interview she tells of how she entered a Carmelite convent, not once but twice. She is author of The secret ladder, a spiritual adventure and The crystal fountain, the story of an inner journey and has written articles on spirituality. She now lives in Ireland where she works as a lawyer. She was interviewed by Eileen Good for RNN.

Father Oliver Crilly has just written a book called “A Shortcut to the Gospels”. The book underlines the diversity of the four Gospels even though, superficially, they are all telling the same life of Christ. Saint Mathew’s Gospel was written at a time of great change in the early Church – the evolution from its Jewish origins to include Gentiles. Because of that, Father Crilly told Liam Cahill it is a very appropriate Gospel for our times. Oliver Crilly’s book “A Shortcut to the Gospels” is published by Veritas.
